300 DVD Available Now in Hong Kong
Relive the Spartans great battle at home.
Warner Bros’ Region 3 300 DVD is available now in Hong Kong at any fine DVD store like HMV where we picked one up for $169. This is great, because the official US drop date is July 31 and its cheaper here. I guess one of the good things about piracy is that DVD’s drop earlier and cheaper than anywhere else.
The single disc version include commentary by director Zack Snyder, screenwriter Kurt Johnstad and director of photography Larry Fong. The two-disc version will include the same commentary plus additional scenes of the traitorous hunchback and never-before-seen giant warriors, “Frank Miller’s Vision Realized on Film,” “300 Spartans – Face or Fiction?: The Shocking Life of a Spartan Revealed,” “Who Were the Spartans?: How the Actors Built Their Characters Based on Spartan Customs,” Webisodes and a photo gallery.
We watched some of the DVD features and it delves into the real history of the Spartans as well as more insight into the author of the graphic novel the movie is based on, Frank Miller. A must have for all who enjoyed the film – and that means guys and girls!

Awesome! I’ve been waiting for this to come out and have held back downloading it. How are the extras? Well for $169 it’ll be worth it anyways.
I found it cheaper in Wan Chai – around $149 for the 2-disc set at 188 mall.
