Get lucky in the Year of the Rat at the ‘Wish Wall.’

ratfairies.jpg

As the stock market goes crazy, you can always get some extra ‘luck’ at Times Square in Causeway Bay. They have erected a golden “Wish Making Wall” of Thirty-three meters in length, decorated with one hundred rats at the Ground Floor’s plantation of Times Square, to let you make wishes for the Year of Rat. An opening ceremony was held yesterday.

The God of Wealth (we need him more than ever) together with his Mouse Fairies and Gold Ingot kids come to toss the “Wish” magnets to the wall and bring luck to the guests.

As we posted here, spend some money in Times Square and you can get a CNY clutch bag and Lai See packets.

Donatella sets up shop in Macau.

versace.jpg

Versace has just opened a 2,260 square foot store in The Wynn Hotel in Macau. This is on track of Versace’s promise in opening 9 new outlets here and in China.

And just a note here for the female shoppers reading this, Macau isn’t just about gambling, all the major big-label hotels like the Wynn, MGM Grand and especially the Venetian feature some amazing shopping and some of the brands represented there don’t even have retail outlets in Hong Kong. So keep that in mind if you turn down a trip to Macau because you think its only gambling.
