Portman’s shoes are coming to a galaxy near you.
Star Wars and The Professional star Natalie Portman has had it with celebrity fashion! So she is going to be designing her own shoe line:
The sweet veggie news for today is that Natalie Portman will design a shoe range for the Soho boutique Te Casan.
The shoes are vegan friendly, and debut in February, which should make for a very fun party complete with Natalie Portman on everyone’s camera phone rosters.

All fashion eyes in town from Jan. 14-17.
The Hong Kong Fashion Week 39th edition begins on Monday, January 14th and runs till the 17th at the Wan Chai’s HKCEC and as usual its going to be exciting, showcasing clothing, fashion and accessories as well as garment-related products from more than 1,500 worldwide exhibitors.
In addition, well-established zones will be staged again: Fashion Gallery, for design-driven collections, and Garment & Accessories Mart, for volume merchandise, as well as Body & Intimate Wear Zone and Bridal & Evening Wear Zone, offering quality choice for special occasions.
Concurrently, the 6th edition of World Boutique, Hong Kong will gather together 240 exhibitors. This is a unique event dedicated to promoting designers’ collections and brands from around the world to buyers looking for distinguished labels to give their business a luxurious image and a competitive edge.
The event also includes a dazzling array of runway shows where garments and accessories can be displayed in an optimal environment. Famous designers and brands such as Ika, Cecilia Yau, William Tang, Moiselle, Anniewho and many more will reveal the fashion trend for Fall/ Winter 2008.

Her Topshop clothes are the most Ebay’d line ever.
Kate Moss designed had her name on a line of clothes available from the UK-retailer TopShop this year and because it was such a hit she rose to the top of most searched celebs on Ebay.
Kate Moss was the most eBayed star of 2007 – with 30,481 items related to her sold on the auction site. Most fans were after the 33-year-old model’s Topshop clothes.
So popular was her line that she even beat out mechandise-seekers for pop-acts like The Spice Girls, Britney Spears, Amy Winehouse and even Harry Potter himself.

500,000 TV’s to be junked this year.
If you stayed home and watched the New Year’s Even festivities then you probably noticed the messages about the program being available in High Definition after 7pm. Guess what? This year you and everyone you know will be buying new TV’s to be able to receive this new signal and give you a new TV watching experience:
Nearly half a million television sets are set to be junked after the launch of digital television tonight. The enhanced sights and sounds of high-definition TV will be broadcast free by Asia Television and Television Broadcasts from 7pm.
Those living in Kowloon peninsula, the northern part of Hong Kong Island, part of Sha Tin and eastern areas of Lantau will initially be able to receive HDTV broadcasts.
This will allow better viewing of next years Beijing Olympics, including Hong Kongs equestrian events.
But there is a negative side to HDTV, Friends of the Earth said yesterday.
The group fears nearly half a million TV sets may be junked in landfills next year amid the craze for HDTV.
Based on last years sales of about 400,000 sets in the city and the business forecast by major electronic appliances outlets, the group estimates about 480,000 will be discarded in 2008.
Half of those who plan to switch to HDTV admitted their current TV sets are no more than six years old.
We just traded up over Christmas but have the old set in use as a gigantic door stopper. When we hear of any special way to dispose of your old TV’s we’ll post it right away.
