Gillian makes a comeback, a statement and a paycheck all at the same time!

Gillian Chung (鍾欣桐) is more than just the new face of Tough Jeans! The new Tough Jeans ad campaign that has been on the front cover of every newspaper and magazine in Hong Kong in the past week, has Gillian – the former other half of pop teen sensation Twins – back in the spotlight, and judging by these photos – back with a vengeance!

Gillian has been lying low since the Edison Chen scandal broke over a year ago. She took a big hit, lost major contracts and was shun from public performances. Shedding her cute girl image, Gillian has emerged tougher and stronger. And we’re right behind her, and whoever at Tough Jeans that suggested they get her to be their spokesmodel.

Tough Jeansmith has appropriately cast her for their “Be Tough” Spring/Summer ‘09, a very befitting slogan for Gillian’s new image.  Welcome back tough girl! See Gillian’s amazing ad campaign below:

  2. Good for her. She shouldn’t be blamed for falling in love with the wrong guy. HK girls need this kind of tough role model to show them that you can fight through your mistakes and get your life back!

  4. Good going!
I dont think she did anything wrong. We have to do anyway with the silly double standards in Hong Kong. People are just too fake.
    I dont get it!

  7. She is just as bad as Edison. Maybe even worse because she threw him to the dogs.

Is it all Edison’s fault??? He is a victim too but all she does is cry and point fingers.

    Tough my ass.

  8. i feel bad for her, actually…i really don’t think she did anything wrong what she does in private time has nothing to do with anyone else… i mean she AND edison are both victims but at least she came out to apologize for his mistakes for leaking the photos…but where did he run to?… he just ran! Her career was sabotaged because of him…and he didn’t even bother to apologize to her

i think she looks great in this campaign keep up the good work Gillian!

Falling is okay, just as long you pick yourself up and come back strong!

  9. She could set a good example for HK girls and recommend to get waxed and take care of her personal grooming better than she has in the past.

I am sure Veet would be good line she should work with.

  10. I’m not against her coming back. Do we seriously need her back? To support her back on a million dollar industry and earning more money than the majority of us normal people who earn just enough to survive. We don’t get anything for supporting her.

  11. I just wanted to say to whomever says ’shame on her’, shame on YOU.

And Gillian, welcome back. It’s really good to see you.

  12. Good for her!!! She didn’t do anything wrong beside picking the wrong guy who is a player. So what if made love with someone she loves? Is it really any of our business?

I’m glad she’s back and showing a strong side of her!!!
