Lancel’s new bag is designed by Isabelle Adjani.

Isabelle Adjani, the French actress has worked closely with Lancel to design a bag that captures a woman’s je ne said quoi. Adjani has described her namesake bag as “like a chest of drawers,” and indeed the functional tote contains several compartments in its midsize frame. This bag is such a hit, it sold out as soon as it hit stores in Paris and is the major reason for Lancel’s good first quarter numbers.

Adriana Lima shows her dark side for Givenchy FW09.

Prepare to see an edgier Adriana Lima for Givenchy’s fall winter 2009 campaign. In the series of pictures shot by Mert and Marcus, the supermodel’s look bordered on goth, complete with dark hair and sultry plum lips.
The ad was shot in the Château de Ferrières, a gorgeous elegant setting, that allows the darker look to shine in it’s full glory. Ricardo Tisci, Givenchy’s main man, wanted the shoot to have a realistic feel, which explains the setting, as well as the look in the ad.
