Miu Miu Fall 2009 Ad Campaign

MiuMiu’s fall ads feature 5 unknown faces.

Miuccia Prada really knows how to keep things interesting. Instead for going of a known personality, she has done quite the opposite for MiuMiu’s fall 2009 campaign. 5 unknown models were used for the shoot- Mimmi Soderstrom, Hannah Holman, Ilda Lindqvist, Victoria Tuaz, and Whitney Coble.

Shot by photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, the series of ads features a washed up, mostly black and white look, with a few soft touches of gray, tan and brown clothes and accessories to lend a softer feel. Needless to say, these new faces really delivered, producing images that are interesting, a bit haunting and very different.

The bags that were featured in the ads also deserve a special mention, featuring gorgeous details like quilting, and jewel embellishment. Generous straps in the form of chains and leather set these purses off beautifully, as do the supple calfskin that they seem to be made of.
