Adrian’s experience in retail spans to overseeing over 40 department stores in Mainland China and also the famous Chow Tai Fook jewellery chain stores all over Asia.

Cheng thinks not; ‘Hong Kong needs something new with some element of street entertainment and I believe the answer is a combination of art, people and nature.” The ‘Art and Retail’ project cost HK$3 billion and covers over 340,000 square feet of space combining 100 retail stores, art exhibitions from local artists and an open-air piazza. The idea is that you can shop and tour the six-storey mall, while still appreciating the art pieces installed throughout.

Set in a New York convent and shot in black and white by Steven Klein, Madonna appears like a sensual Italian housewife straight from the 1950s. The ad features Madonna in various mundane shots, in the kitchen, eating breakfast and cleaning the dishes.
A very down to earth take that is a big departure from Dolce & Gabbana’s normally flashy and glossy ad campaigns.

It’s been 2 years since Carrie and Mr.Big tied the knot in the original blockbuster movie, and Sex And The City 2 picks up where everyone left off. Shot in New York with some scenes in Morocco, there are lots of rumours spreading online about story plots etc so we wanted to share a few of what we found with you.
One thing we know for sure is to expect lots of fun, drama and, of course, fashion. The movie will be out in the States on 28 May 2009 and the trailer is out now!

It has been two years since her jewellery line debut at Paris Fashion Week with a two-fold focus on skulls and animals, and this year Delfina Delettrez’s jewellery line has made its way to Lane Crawford in Hong Kong. A scion of the Fendi family whose love of design runs in their blood, Delfina launched her jewellery line at the tender age of 19; following in the footsteps of her father, French jeweller Bernard Delettrez.
Delfina’s jewellery design centres around things that she is passionate about like flowers, skulls, fierce animals and poisonous insects. Her jewellery line uses traditional materials of gold, silver and precious stones, and goes beyond traditional materials to incorporate iron, copper, organic materials with oversize pearls, black diamonds, leather strips and pieces of bone atelier.
Love and music are two things so intertwined in life that the romantic musical Nine, set to open December 25 in the US and February 25 in Hong Kong, is long overdue. Think ‘Moulin Rouge’ except bigger!
Based on Federico Fellini’s autobiography, 8 1/2, Nine explores the quest of one man – Guido Contini, played by the dashing Danile Day-Lewis – to find balance in his personal life. We are given a glimpse of the relationships he has with his wife, mistress, muse, agent, and mother. This movie is not at all shy of big names, with Marion Cotillard, Penelope Cruz, Nicole Kidman, Judi Dench, Kate Hudson and Sophia Loren as part of its star-studded cast. This wildly successful Broadway musical, with a book by Arthur Kopit and Mario Fratti and music and lyrics by Maury Yeston, is all set to debut on the big-screen.
The critics have certainly taken notice of this blockbuster, nominating it for 5 Golden Globe Awards and 10 Critics Choice awards including Best Motion Picture, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Song and Best Acting Ensemble among many others.
It’s been six decades since the initial release and success of Dior’s New Look collection in Paris that revolutionize the fashion industry. To commemorate that wildly successful period, Dior brings us the “New Lock Bag collection.”
The New Look bag is a classic bag, made modern by a few interesting touches like studs on the lock and a more simple and uncomplicated chain and leather handle. For the most part though, Dior has kept the bag simple to pay tribute to the new double press-stud clasp in gold-toned metal engraved with, of course, “Dior”. By using the house’s signature Cannage pattern manage to keep this bag distinctively Dior. Available in a broad range of colours, we think the hand-painted blue python skin version (image above) is simply gorgeous, sadly its not available in Hong Kong.
Dior has pulled out all the stops with the release of this new collection. They’ve enlisted the help of lovely French actress, Nora Arnezeder, who appears in the ad campaign and a series of short film showing her all over Paris and in various situations, with the lock bag in tow. The short films have also been created by Peter Lindbergh and Darius Khondji to showcase the new collection and can be viewed on Dior’s website.
