Mulberry has designed a bag inspired by Alexa Chung, 27 year old English television presenter of MTV’s It’s On With Alexa Chung fame. Mulberry creative director Emma Hill decided to create the Alexa after spotting her with a vintage Mulberry men’s briefcase. The result is an updated version of a cross between Mulberry’s iconic Bayswater bag and Mulberry’s men briefcase.

The Alexa is both formal and relaxed at the same time, with its briefcase structured shape and extra long Postman’s belt straps. The oversize Alexa is a big roomy bag (42cm width) that features Muberry’s twist lock hardware and plaited top handle.  The Alexa is available in 2 sizes and 3 skin types: nappa leather, lambskin and snake skin.

Unfortunately for us, the bag is not yet available in Hong Kong stores, but is scheduled to make their store-wide appearance in February. Stay tuned for dates!

  1. It’s buffalo leather, not nappa leather.

    There are 3 types of leather: buffalo, Python trims (lambskin + snakeskin), & canvas.

  2. The Alexa is an awesome bag! I can’t wait to get my hands on one. It does look like the Proenza Schouler bag, though the Alexa’s more feminine :)
