The scent of summer at the gardens of Ninfa.

Ninfeo mio is a fragrance inspired by the forgotten gardens of Ninfa located in the old city of Ninfa, once referred to as medieval Pompeii in the southeast of Rome.
There’s a charming little story about The Ninfa garden which belongs to the aristocratic Caetani family. It laid abandoned and in ruins for over six centuries after a civil war broke out and was only restored back to a botanical garden in 1920, when Ada Wilbraham, wife of Onorat Caetani fell in love with the garden and made it her life’s mission to restore it. Considered one of the most romantic and beautiful gardens in the world, if you are ever in Italy, be sure to pay a visit.
Annick Goutal has captured the scent of this garden in a bottle.

A subdued palette to celebrate Spring 2010.

One can always count on Prada‘s pieces to be functional and wearable – their Spring 2010 collection all of the above and more. We can honestly say we’re quite in love with the fashion house’s latest offering for its simplicity and wearability; something that can not oft be said of modern fashions.

All you need to know about shopping in the fashionable capital.

Fashion writer, stylist and CNNGo contributor, Misha Janette, has put together a ‘little black book’ of the 55 best new stores in Tokyo. Yes, only 55 and, knowing the retail sprawl of Tokyo, she had to do some serious editing to get that number so low!
The bilingual guide goes neighborhood-by-neighborhood to provide brief parenthetical notes on each store. Although the guide mostly covers high-fashion and international designer brands, casual favorites like the earthy Journal Standard and NYC’s Opening Ceremony also make the list.
Our favorite new shopping complex in Janette’s black book may be Marunouchi Brick Square (Marunouchi 2-6-1, Chiyoda-ku), which brings together Ylang Ylang, Land of Tomorrow and the Brooks Brothers flagship with the early modernist brick design of the Marunouchi area. The complex may also have one of the best terraces in the city.
Although there are a few guidebooks to Tokyo shopping in print (such as “Tokyo Style File”), the speed of changes in the retail arena means online resources like Frivolite may be your best bet for keeping up with the city’s fashion.

A must-have for Spring/Summer 2010.
There’s something about the 1940s that appears utterly romantic and timeless and Dior seems to think the same if their “IT” bag for the hottest season is anything to go by.
The Dior Detective bag is a mix between structured and curvy, evoking a sense of mystery and suspense heightened by its black python and crocodile make. Quite a different route from the colourful bags of summer we think you’ll agree, but it’s both sleek and sophisticated and deceptively roomy with various large pockets.

The alternative to surgery.

Snakes often have a negative perception but perhaps the new Rodial Glamoxy Snake Serum from JOYCE Beauty will change our minds on these creatures.
The revolutionary serum is said to contain Syn-ake – the neuropeptide that mimics a Temple Viper’s venom that acts as a “muscle freezer” to erase fine lines and wrinkles much like botox… don’t worry, it’s not poisonous! The serum also has Fiflow, a supposed oxygen filler responsible for the plumping of fine lines and wrinkles. Rodial’s founder, Maria Hatzistefanis, was in town recently to launch the product.

A slouchy affair for Spring’s 2010 bags.
Ferragamo’s Denise bag
Salvatore Ferragamo, celebrates Spring just as it should be – lighthearted and relaxed – both of which are epitomized in the Denise and Daisy bags as part of Ferragamo’s Spring 2010 collections.
The Denise bag looks supple in both calf skin and phyton skin, its gold, logo fastener gathering the leather in the centre to give a most magnificent bow effect.
