Prada’s Plastic Bags

Transparent is in.

Like its fellow luxury brands before it, namely Fendi and Chanel, Prada has gone clear for Spring 2010 with their Plex + Spazzolato and Mistolino bags which are made of, dare we say it, very ordinary looking vinyl and plastic.

To be fair to Prada, it appears that they have gone to great lengths to elevate these doctor’s shaped bags with lots of semi-precious stones and plastic crystals, perhaps to add some sparkle to this regular household material. Still, we must admit that these bags leave us wanting more and the price tag seems a bit too hefty for their make. We also predict there will be plenty of cheaper alternatives out there which will no doubt be available on the market soon.
