Gareth Pugh Opens New Store in Hong Kong

Gareth Pugh is up and coming new English fashion designer who’s been described at the latest addition to ‘conceptualist’ designers similar to the likes of Alexander McQueen and Viviene Westwood. Pugh designs clothes that are experimental and plays on distortion of form. He certainly pushes the boundaries on shapes and material and the results are unique bold avant- garde looking outfits that will appeal to Hong Kong’s many celebrities and fashionistas.

The new Gareth Pugh store is located at Ice House Street and is the world’s first Gareth Pugh boutique. The 25 year old designer graduated from the prestigious Central Saint Martins College and started his career under the tutelage of Rick Owens, and has also worked with Stella McCartney and D&G.
The store officially opened on 31 July 2010 and features shiny, black interiors painted with jet-black rubber paint imported from Britain, with the exception of the display area which is masked in a black metallic border.
