Satchels are going to be huge again this fall and as usual Jimmy Choo is on trend with the leopard print ‘Catherine’ bag.
Just in time for an August launch, this boxy black leather number has practical pockets and a large panel of leopard print calf hair that makes it more glamourous than grandma!
Inspired by Parisian vogue circa 1970s, the Catherine hits a more feminine tone with its old school clasps and poppers, short shoulder handles and oblong shape, but yet still manages to scream ‘boudoir’ as this leopard shows its true spots…
The Catherine is the star of Choo’s Autumn/Winter 2011 advertising campaign featuring a sultry Raquel Zimmerman clutching her Catherine bag while lying on the satin strewn bed in a hotel suite, with a brooding Ben Hill slouched on the chair behind her. Shot by Steven Meisel, the ad campaign harks back to French film noir heroines and ups the sex appeal to this buttoned down, modern take on a fit-all Mary Poppins’ bag – Jimmy Choo style.
