Shopping in Paris: Merci

If there’s one shop in Paris you must visit, it’s Merci.

Excuse the pun but you’ll certainly thank us for pointing you in the direction of Merci!

Ensconced in the creative hub that is Marais on the Left Bank, Merci is indisputably the star of Rive Gauche. Housed within an extensive masonry along Boulevard Beaumarchais, time literally stops when you step into the leafy courtyard, where an old-school Beetle in red greets you.

Quirky and effusively charming, at Merci you will find all sorts of home improvement paraphernalia, stationeries made from the most interesting materials, and a skincare bar courtesy of Aesop. Look no further as this is the place to find something uniquely Parisian to tote home to your loved ones.

Merci also makes accessories – some macramé wristlets caught our eye – and curates from independent designers around town. And, when you’re tired from all that shopping, why not enjoy a nice cup of French coffee at their café. A bientôt!
