Chanel’s Fall/Winter 2011 Campaign Is Purr-fect
Erichsen, Roitfeld and Lagerfeld = a fashionista’s dream team.
Campaigns don’t come much more star-studded than Chanel’s latest Fall/Winter 2011 offering. It stars super-cool Danish model Freja Beha Erichsen styled by the trés chic former editor of French Vogue, Carine Roitfeld, and photographed by none other than Mr Chanel himself, Karl Lagerfeld. That’s quite some fashion pedigree for just one photo-shoot!
While there’s plenty of those trademark boucle jackets on show, the photos are a whole lot quirkier than the classic Chanel imagery you might expect. It looks like Roitfeld came to set with a well-stuffed dress-up box as the entire series sees Erichsen posing in an old-fashioned photo booth in a variety of different disguises, wigs and even cat whiskers!
Attention-grabbing, playful and just a little bit sexy, this marks Erichsen’s fifth consecutive Chanel campaign. Even dressed as a cat, Freja can’t help but look cool so is it any wonder we – and Mr Lagerfeld – can’t get enough of her?!
