Van Cleef & Arpels opens its third Maison in Hong Kong.

We here at Butterboom are seeing a lot of store openings at this time of year and Van Cleef & Arpels new Prince’s Building Maison in Central is truly impressive. The five-storey Maison designed by Patrick Jouin and Sanjit Manku is a significant milestone for the company’s expansion in the region. In fact, it’s currently the biggest Van Cleef & Arpels’ store in Asia.

Wan Chai boutique opens nautical shop in K11.

Everyone knows the trusty Breton stripe is a true wardrobe staple and now there’s a whole store dedicated to celebrating nautical fashion!
Kapok, the much-loved independent boutique in Wan Chai, recently opened a new shop in Tsim Sha Tsui’s K11 Art Mall entirely devoted to maritime style. The stripped-back breezy interior, playfully adorned with anchors, ropes, oars and life-belts was inspired by Brittany, the French seaside and idyllic summer holidays – no doubt influenced by Kapok’s French founder, Arnault Castel.

The new fragrance continues on the tradition of feminine compositions, leaving a cuddling and honey-sweet trail on your skin. Australian brand Seed opens at Repulse Bay.

Australian brand Seed Heritage has just opened their first women’s retail store in Hong Kong in mid September. The brand is all about casual chic Aussie style, hence the beachfront shopping location at the Repulse Bay makes sense for their first store. Also the fact that they had already opened Seed Kidswear about a year ago a few shops away.
