Designer Talks: Isabel Marant in Hong Kong
The famed French designer comes to Hong Kong.
Isabel Marant is one of those rare fashion designers that is as popular in Hong Kong and Japan as she is in Europe.
As readers of Butterboom know, she just opened her 3rd store here in Hong Kong in Central on Ice House Street and to kick it off she came to town to meet with media and throw a huge party at Zuma.
We had a chance to sit down with Isabel as she spoke about her background, her view on Asia and her thoughts on new designers trying to break into the industry today. We found her charming, generous and very smart about the fashion world and wished we could spend more time with her.
The video is embedded below:
Here are a few shots from the Isabel Marant launch party at Zuma this past weekend. Kelly Chen, Florinda Ho and even Joey Yung were on hand to welcome the designer and show off some of her outfits.
We were happy to bring along two Butterboom readers who entered our contest to come with us and were able to grab this snapshot at the Isabel Marant photo booth:
More photos from Isabel Marant’s current collection are on our Facebook page.
