All Aboard the Louis Vuitton Express
A true celebration of the Art of Travel.
The Louis Vuitton Express is theme of the famous brand’s show-stopping fall/winter 2012 collection staged during Paris Fashion Week. Keeping in the brand’s tradition of luxury travel, the Louis Vuitton Express show captures the golden age and romance of train travel of the past. This is the second time the brand has ever restaged its Paris Fashion Week show outside of Paris, the first was in Tokyo.
The event held on July 19th at Shanghai’s Bund in a makeshift hall resembling a train station was part of Louis Vuitton’s celebration of its two decades in China. This year, marking its 20th anniversary in China, Louis Vuitton also opened its first “Maison’ in China. The Maison is located at Plaza 66, boasting four floors of Louis Vuitton bliss and specially commissioned artworks by Chinese and international contemporary artworks. The store offers custom-made shoes and bags and boast an invitation-only area for VIPs.
