Sammi Cheng Fronts Aquascutum’s Advertising Campaign
Aquascutum taps on local talent for Greater China market.
Aquascutum, the quintessential British brand founded in 1851 by Regent Street tailor John Emary has signed on Sammi Cheng to be the brand’s ambassador for the Greater China region. The campaign is shot in Hong Kong and features Sammi Cheng in Aquascutum’s classic trench coat.
Aquascutum (name is derived from the Latin word for water shield) is a 161 year old English brand that can be credited for inventing the first rain repellent cloth and played a part in inventing the first water proof trench coat when John Emary was commissioned to design the outer garment for the officers in the WW1 trenches.
This advertising campaign is shot by the Hong Kong photographer Mr. Wing Shya to bring a touch of feminine elegance and a modern edge to the photos. Here are some of the behind-the-scene shots.
Today, the brand is own by YGM, Hong Kong based fashion retailer.

You got a typo there, it’s Sammi Cheng. CHENG is her last name, not Cheung.
thanks!
