Michael Kor’s resort collection is all about opulent minimalism.
Whether you’re beach bound or not, Michael Kors Resort 2013 Collection -which the designer himself described as “opulent minimalism”- will whisk you away to someplace exotic and affluent.
Sumptuous fabrics (think lacquered python) and golden accents (seen on chunky cuffs, minaudières and flat sandals) pepper the collection. Granted, that may sound garish on paper but the looks will convince you otherwise. We love that the pieces, like their shorts and shifts, for example, are crisp and polished to counteract the opulence. Our favorites include the metallic brocade jacket with bejeweled details, and not forgetting, a very stylish sunbathing suit like the white hot maillot.
The collection will be available in HK around November 2012.
