We are in Auckland to cover New Zealand Fashion Week and will be bringing you highlights from the runway over the next few days. The venue for Fashion Week which runs from 4th September to 7th September and public days (8-9 September) is the Viaduct Events Centre, a waterfront exhibition center on Halsey Street Wharf Extension within walking distance to the city. We’re loving the fresh air and amazing view of this gorgeous spot!
Rotating between 2 halls at the Viaduct Events Center and some off-site locations, there are 45 New Zealand designers showcasing their A/W 2013 collection at New Zealand Fashion Week.
Day 1 at NZFW kicks off with New Zealand’s favorite label, Ruby, an established label that has been around for around 13 years and newer sister brand, Liam showcasing their 3rd collection todate.
Designers showing on Day 1 were Cybele, Coop, Company of Strangers, Hailwood, Juliet Hogan and the very established and popular New Zealand label Zambesi.
What we love:
Liam’s little black dress with leather chain body holster.
Cybele’s geometric cut-out designs on soft chiffon and silk printed dresses mixed with clear plastic belt and metallic accents.
Coop’s glamorous green and gold sequin dresses paired with floral printed jacket and playful sunglasses printed jumpsuit.
