The  Prada “Yo-Yo Bag” is a medium sized bag inspired by shapes from the 1950s. Featured heavily in their Fall ad campaign, the Yo-Yo is Prada’s key bag for the season’s ’50s inspired theme presenting a variety of materials from patent leather to crocodile, shiny calfskin mixed together for contrast. The bag features a turn clasp closure and handles clad in the same material as the detailing. The bag also comes in a chain handle version.

It seems that Pacific Place Mall’s renovation is coming to an end as more and more newly renovated stores are now re-opening. MiuMiu for one, previously located on the second floor in Pacific Place, is re-opening on the 3rd floor and shoppers can expect the new location to be bigger and better, carrying a wider selection of goods.

Lancel’s much anticipated bag the Le Bardot Bag is going to hit stores tomorrow. What makes this bag special is that Lancel has designed and created a bag that truly captures the spirit and style of screen legend and style icon, Brigitte Bardot.

Brigitte Bardot’s brief to Artistic Director, Leonello Borghi for creating Le Bardot bag was based on her motto – “Enjoy Life. Respect Nature.Love Bags”. The result, an iconic drawstring bag that  pay homage to Brigitte Bardot’s style and what she believe in.

Unlike other collaborations we have seen before, the details that goes into creating Le Bardot Bag is quite impressive and very thorough. Brigitte’s hourglass silhouette and curves were the inspirations for the shape of the bag. The extended tassels in organic silk adds a touch of femininity, playfulness and sway to the bag and women who carries it.  Personal details like  pockets that are named associated to St.Tropez, (an important place for Brigitte) were incorporated into the bag making this a highly personalized bag that captures her joie de vivre spirit and sensuality.

The bag also adhere to Bardot’s values in support of animal rights in terms of using materials that are 100% eco- friendly, using organic textiles and fabrics. No animals were harmed with the creation of Le Bardot bag and it is hoped that this bag will set an example for consumer and designers alike to choose eco-friendly bags.

Longchamp has always been a staple for bags that seem to grow more handsome with age and surpass all flighty trends. And Fall 2010 is no different as they’ve decided to bring back one of their classics, the Gatsby bag, albeit in a newer and reinvented form.

The new Gatsby features a much shorter leather shoulder strap, allowing for the Gatsby to fit more snugly under the arm to resemble a giant clutch.
