High-end luxury wine lounge opens in The Sheraton Tsim Sha Tsui.

The Sky Lounge at the Sheraton Hong Kong Hotel announces the opening of its new Wineroom, a luxurious, comfortable space dedicated to providing unparalleled wine, cigar and service to all wine lovers.

The Wineroom features handsome sofas, banquettes and leather club chairs, wooden floor and red brick wall, intimate lighting and personalized table service. Guests may choose their wine from an exclusive rare wine list from around the world.

Ok sounds pretty straight-forward right? But wait, here’s the gimmick: they have the first in Hong Kong, Enomatic wine dispensing system for wine-by-the-glass:

Enomatic wine dispensing system is a state-of-the-art Italian designed and manufactured wine serving and preserving system that guarantees the colour, taste and aroma of the wine delivered to be just like the ‘first time taste’ the winemaker intended,at all times. The wines are maintained by preventing oxidation thus preventing degradation of the wine.

What this means is that with the new dispensing system, you can now taste up 24 different types of wine in smaller tasting portions of 2.5cl. This means that you get to go on a wine tasting adventure making it easier for you to find a wine that tickles your fancy.

15 restaurants serve wine and canapes on June 7th.

Although it may sound like a police sobriety test, there is a good reason to get out onto Wyndham Street 雲咸街; next Saturday, June 7th for the first WineWalk event.

One2Free and Time Out Hong Kong is letting you try a bunch of different wine and canapes at 15 Wyndham Street restaurants for HK$280 (with a 10% discount to all tourists) from 3pm-6pm. Participating restaurants includes Frog Faced Fish, Wagyu, FINDS, Gnocchia, Tivo, Pickled Pelican and many more. A special Time Out commemorative wine glass will be given to all guests.

All we need is for more drunk people to be wandering around Wyndham earlier on a Saturday than normal, but hey its for a good cause as all profits from the event go to the Room to Read charity.

So if you are looking to catch an afternoon matinee of the Sex and the City movie this might be the chi-chi thing to hit up afterwards and test out some wines, have some canapes and support a good cause. Carrie Bradshaw would be proud.

Get into an Asian-Mediterranean buffet this weekend.
