D&G upping the ante in digital communication.
D&G has always been one of the leaders in the fashion world to adopt new technology. They’ve designed their own phones, developed their iPhone app, and last year seated bloggers in the front row of their fashion shows to do live reporting.
They won’t disappoint at their upcoming Fall and Winter 2010 shows, pushing the envelope further by letting fans view both women’s shows live via their mobile devices on the iPhone and Google’s Android.

It’s back to basics with Sony Ericsson’s sleek new mobile.
Sony Ericsson Hong Kong unveiled their latest mobile phone the Xperia Pureness with the usual fanfare of a bevy of models and Shu Qi (舒淇).
The Xperia Pureness sports a transparent display screen and a sleek body. The new phone is an elegant device that comes with a simple set of features that doesn’t overwhelm the user.
The Pureness features an Mp3 player, Bluetooth connectivity, Email, SMS, Organiser and web browsing functions. However, the phone does not have a built-in camera which Sony representatives said was in keeping with the design concept’s need to be simple and easy to use.

With the success of the D&G iPhone App, we shouldn’t really be surprised when other fashion houses decide to follow suit. DKNY has just launched their Cozy iPhone Application and, rather than go for glitz and glamour, the brand has taken a decidedly practical standpoint with their latest technological offering.
Dubbed your “own personal fashion stylist,” DKNY now shows iPhone users the many different ways to style their DKNY cozy, a top-selling item since its conception in 2003. Pretty good timing, we say, as it is starting to get cold outside! The application gives us virtual tips on how this diverse wrap can be worn all over the body; all users have to do is pick out a style, mimic and they’re good to go.
