Celebrating 10 years of jewelery and accessories in Hong Kong.
Folli Follie, the jewelery and accessories brand from Athens is celebrating their 10th anniversary in Hong Kong. A favorite amongst Hong Kongers for their fashionable and luxe pieces that are priced in the middle range, Folli Follie has hit on a success formula with 14 stores in Hong Kong. Here’s a bit of industry news, did you know that the group had recently well not so recently (in 2006) acquired Links of London too.
To commemorate their 10 successful years in Hong Kong, they’ve come up with a limited edition watch and bracelet collection that symbolizes the fusion of Greek and Chinese cultures with dramatic effects. The watch features three dials layered on top of each other in reverence to ancient Greek architecture and geometric lines decoration inspired by antique Chinese windows. Marking its decade long presence in Hong Kong is the symbolic “X” marking on the face of the bracelet, now that’s pretty neat!
Available in black and white with finishes and lines in white or rose gold and will set you back HK$5,115 a pop.
“Armani Jeans expresses my vision of a young, independent, casual lifestyle with a strong and cool, fashion sensibility. Solange epitomises this style perfectly and brings to it that swing so evident in her new single, I Decided,” Giorgio Armani commented on his newest muse.
The profile-boosting partnership couldn’t come at a better time for Solange, whose second album, SoL-AngeL and the Hadley Street Dreams (from which I Decided is taken), is released on August 26 prior to her embarking on a worldwide tour this autumn.

We’re awaiting Britney Spears’ sister Jamie Lynn to start selling Skechers and Pepsi after she’s done nursing her new baby.
First duet for Bond film will find “Another Way to Die” in November.
Jack White of the White Stripes and Alicia Keys have just recorded the theme song for the 22nd James Bond movie hitting Hong Kong in November. The film is called “Quantum of Solace,” but we guess that would make for a lousy chorus, so they opted for the more Bond-ian sounding “Another Way to Die!”
It was down to Amy Winehouse, Duffy and Leona Lewis - who the last two would have been good seeing they are UK based, which we kind of thought was the prerequisite in the old days, but then again a Top 40 hit always works wonders for the films box office visibility, so there you go.
The best damn tour hits The Venetian Macao for 1-night only.
Avril Lavigne returns for another show in our area on September 26th - this time in Macau at The Venetian’s Cotai Strip Cotai Arena. She either loves it here, or the fans really do show up in droves to support her.
