1 Duddell Street will be the newest Hong Kong fashion destination.

After leaving its historic retail space on Pedder Street for a temporary space above Star Ferry, Shanghai Tang is just about ready to launch their new flagship store in Hong Kong opening next month at 1 Duddell Street, Central.
While the official preview is still a couple of weeks away we were allowed access this week to see the still under construction Shanghai Tang Mansion to give you some quick thoughts:

Another Italian label makes its way to Hong Kong

If you haven’t already noticed newcomer Fly Girl in Harbour City, you’ll soon start to feel its presence with their introduction of a second store at Times Square. The Italian label is the result of the Ngie sisters’ newest venture. Sourced, designed and created in Italy, Fly Girl is most definitely aimed at a younger generation – the fun and flirty kind.

The graceful ballet legend makes it’s way to Hong Kong.

Avid flats-wearing ladies like ourselves were dancing for joy (literally) when we heard Repetto opened their first standalone store here. Possessing undeniable grace and lightness, their flats utilize “le cousu retourne” (stitch and return) technique, which paved the way for a 60-year legend of Repetto. What started as a high quality ballet shoe brand has turned into a fashion classic, touting collaborations with designers such as Karl Lagerfeld and Commes des Garcons.

Swatch’s new stand-alone store in Central.

Swatch, the cult plastic watch company has opened their first stand-alone flagship store in the hub of Central. Known for their playful and stylish designs, the store is designed based on the concept of a fashion runway – where watches and jewelry take centre stage against a stark white walls. The store is outfitted with blown up large-scale campaign images and hip circular lighting.
