Avril Plays in Macau in September

The best damn tour hits The Venetian Macao for 1-night only.

Avril Lavigne returns for another show in our area on September 26th – this time in Macau at The Venetian’s Cotai Strip Cotai Arena. She either loves it here, or the fans really do show up in droves to support her.

Tickets are on sale now at Ticketmaster and from The Venetian direct.

Avril came, she rocked, and she will return. Last night at HITEC as promised Avril Lavigne performed a mini-concert that showed us all how many fans she has in Hong Kong. Thanks to Meko and Sony BMG Music for hosting this event.

Avril came out and rocked out 5 songs in her 30-minute set playing songs from her new CD “The Best Damn Thing” as well as her classics “Sk8er Boi” and “Complicated” – its been awhile since we’ve been to a concert and its amazing how many digital cameras and camera phones lit up in the audience, it was almost as bright ON the floor as on the stage.

Avril Returns to HK Tomorrow Night

How many concerts can you handle in one week?

First we had no one come to Hong Kong, now they all come at once. If you caught the other 2 big acts this week, better get some rest tonight for the last big show of August; Saturday the 18th the one and only Avril Lavigne returns to Hong Kong. You might still have a chance on tickets. It will be interesting to see if she plays “Girlfriend” at her show, because of her legal problems there.

Here is our third and final video for now of Avril Lavigne performing her classic hit song ‘Sk8r Boi’ from her mini-concert last Thursday.

Also wanted to quickly say Congrats to Vivian and William of Causeway Bay; who we awarded 2 tickets to and they came with us to the concert. Avril Lavigne in Hong Kong

Ok this one is 100% happening, but…

There is good news and bad news about this one. Avril Lavigne is truly coming to Hong Kong on May 3rd – yes that is tomorrow. She is playing HITEC at 8pm, but the bad news of course is that it is not a public concert, and not a full show – just a one hour showcase “party.” She is slipping through town for a sponsored visit that is being paid for by Meko (check the ad here) and they and others are giving out tickets to their customers and contest winners as well as MTV, Yahoo and Milk magazine.

I’m sure if she gets a warm enough welcome she will be back later this year for a full concert (we hear in August). We hope to be able to get in to Thursday’s show and will share what we see on Friday’s postings.
