Christopher Bailey to visit Taipei for opening of flagship store in Taipei.
Burberry is gearing up to open their first flagship store in Taiwan next week. We are super excited that Burberry’s Chief Creative Director, Christopher Bailey will be flying in to celebrate the opening of what is the brand’s largest store in Asia Pacific.
The new 14,800 square foot flagship store designed by Christoper Bailey fitted with giant 9×5 LED screen walls is located at Taipei 101 shopping centre. We have been told to expect a totally immersive Burberry experience at a custom built circular space at XinYin Plaza fitted with 360 degrees digital interior screen wall with performances by Taiwanese singer Jolin Tsai, British musician Tom Odell and a live DJ set by Tom Price. Awesome!
It’s hard to argue the practicality of tote bags and here at Butterboom we are major fans of magical fits-more-than-it-looks bags. Burberry’s Whipstitch is a luxurious take on the classic tote, with it’s textured suede and alligator trim that has been tumbled to extreme softness. The distinctive hand sewn whipstitch detail shows Burberry’s dedication to fine craftsmanship.

This event – which was held at a 16,000 square foot gallery in Kwun Tong with digital Burberry content streaming onto giant projection walls – marked the boys’ first live performance in Hong Kong, but will surely not be their last if the 700-strong bopping guests were anything to go by!
It was probably about time that Burberry opened a flagship store in Hong Kong and, boy, has the London designer done it in style.
With LED screen walls outside, the store which opened in mid-August is in itself quite a statement in its location in Silvercord shopping mall in Tsim Sha Tsui, as designer Christopher Bailey wanted.
