The Swank and Butterboom count down the Top 5 trends for Fall 2008.
The Swank see’s this fall’s fashion trends as a luxurious amalgamation of warmth and artistic inspiration, translating the spirit of the 70s and the red carpet look into the runway. In addition, well adorned padded fabrics, furry embellishments, gypsy folk and artsy period pieces are also put into play. New forms and shapes with intriguing mix of garments are shown along with structurally fascinating pieces and knits.

What better time to wear fur than the cold winter months? This Fall/Winter, furs are the undeniable must haves, making a serious statement in the collections of Roberto Cavalli, Ines & Marechal, and Simonetta Ravizza (shown above). Luxe furs are especially hot, such as fox, mink, chinchilla, and Mongolian lamb.

We have an ‘obsession’ with the new Eva Mendes TV commercial too!
We brought you the news last week about Eva Mendes‘ new ad campaign for Calvin Klein Underwear, well she’s at it again, this time with the TVC for the Calvin Klein Obsession fragrance.
This kind of publicity seems like a typical marketing trap for the TV stations to walk right into. This kind of “banned” ad only helps Calvin Klein, as they are seen as being “risky and sexy” and appealing to their client base of “risky and sexy” women. The ad is nothing special, but having it banned allows their product to stand above all the other similar ones out there, and having blogs like ours spread the word without them having to lift a finger. Very clever Mr. Klein, very clever indeed!

How will Eva help Calvin sell all those bras?
Calvin Klein Underwear has hooked up with Eva Mendes (the sexiest Cuban-American actress in numerous movies from 2 Fast 2 Furious, Ghost Rider to this Christmas’ The Spirit) for their new comfort bra line. These sexy ads were done back in March and are ready to be unleashed around the world. See the whole group of them here.
Does that mean Calvin Klein will take down those Djimon Hounsou that has all the old ladies in Hong Kong complaining ?
