French cosmetics house gets quirky for Internet campaign.
We’ve already enjoyed Chanel’s quirky Fall/Winter 2011 campaign starring Freja Beha Erichsen, and now it looks like their cosmetics division is keen to get in on the act too!
Chanel have just released their Nail Cabaret Shade Parade video, featuring a load of dancing hands showcasing some of the company’s most iconic nail polishes and all in time for fall. Inspired by old school Hollywood musicals and Parisian cabaret theatres like the Moulin Rouge and Crazy Horse, we get to see the likes of Particuliere, Black Pearl, Rouge Noir, Dragon and Inattendu strut their stuff in mirrored dance studios, frolic on pearl necklace swings and even slide down a replica of Coco Chanel’s famous spiral staircase.
Erichsen, Roitfeld and Lagerfeld = a fashionista’s dream team.
Campaigns don’t come much more star-studded than Chanel’s latest Fall/Winter 2011 offering. It stars super-cool Danish model Freja Beha Erichsen styled by the trés chic former editor of French Vogue, Carine Roitfeld, and photographed by none other than Mr Chanel himself, Karl Lagerfeld. That’s quite some fashion pedigree for just one photo-shoot!

Metallic nail polishes and revolutionary new eye-shadows shimmer for Fall.
Mimosa. Jade. Nouvelle Vague. Particuliere. Paradoxal. It might sound like nonsense to some, but any make-up junkie worth their salt will instantly recognise these as some of Chanel’s sell-out nail polishes from the past few seasons. And it looks like they’re going to do it all over again with their latest collection, Fall 2011’s Illusion D’Ombres de Chanel.
The stars came out for this beautiful new timepiece.
Chanel transformed a Hong Kong Convention Centre hall into a living art piece as it launched the J12 Chromatic watch in Hong Kong last week.
The exclusive watch made of titanium ceramic brought out celebrities and models like Joey Yung 容祖兒, Michelle Wai 詩雅, Jocelyn Luko, Elaine Lee 李依林, Yvette Yuen 榮文蔚 and Ingrid Chen 陳斯允. The launch event mirrored the one that Chanel held in Paris a few months ago, so its great we could get a chance to see what Chanel put together here in Hong Kong.
