Coach’s Kristin Leather Tote

The Kristin tote from Coach features rich glazed leather that looks especially soft and supple. On the inside, you’ll find a zippered compartment, a cellphone drop and pen pockets, proving the purse’s functionality. There’s also an outside pocket for more convenient storage option that’s shut with a magnetic snap. The bag’s main compartment also employs the same snap device for instant opening and closing. The Kristin has the very en vogue chain strap handles, with a wide leather flap that goes comfortably on the shoulder.

5 Minutes with Coach CEO & President: Andre Cohen

Shopping tips with the Coach CEO and photos of their new Sogo boutique.

We caught up with one of the most important men in the New York fashion business, Mr.Andre Cohen, President and CEO of Coach, China. He was in town to officiate the opening of Coach’s brand new re-located boutique in the ever popular Sogo Department store in Causeway Bay. Coach was previously located on the 3rd floor of Sogo.  And, as everyone in the business knows, any big designer brand worth their salt has a presence in this, the most densely populated piece of retail real estate in Hong Kong. Located on the ground floor, next to Burberry, Coach’s new boutique is sure to continue its tradition of carving out a loyal following of the American fashion and accessories brand, especially for their bags which merge both fashion and functionality.

What more could a girl ask for?! We were lucky enough to to catch up with the man himself, Andre Cohen, to ask him a few questions about Coach and to give you the insider scoop on his essential shopping tips:

How many bags does Coach release each season?

Actually, Coach releases about 60-70 bags a month. Each month, about 30% of our stock is new. We do this to cater to our loyal customers who frequent the stores a few times a month. It is important that we give them a sense of newness in terms of new products and new design.

Coach is certainly the bag brand to watch, if they continue on with their assault of affordable, yet fabulous bags. Their newest offering, the Spotlight bag, elevates the tote a few notches up with details certainly worthy of the spotlight.

There are many bits to rave about the Spotlight bag. This bag comes with convertible strap detailing- both a longer strap, as well as your trusty shoulder straps. Although the Spotlight is your usual tote shape, it’s little details like buttoned front pockets, and a little ruching on the sides that make it different.
