Paris Haute Couture A/W 2009

2009’s showcase of the Haute Couture was a little lackluster.

Blame it on the bad economy, the Paris Haute Couture showing for Autumn/Winter 2009 was a little quiet.  It was noticeably less busy this year with some of the usual attendees failing to show, including American Vogue editor Anna Wintour.

However, this is not to say that the shows did not have their highlights. Fab clothes and a bevy of  Hollywood’s fashionable hopped over to Paris to show their support.

Megan Fox attended the Giorgio Armani Prive Fashion Show, looking gorgeous in a one shoulder dress. Cate Blanchett look very elegant in black.

Kylie Minogue made her presence felt at the Jean Paul Gaultier show in a lingerie inspired number. Marion Cotillard was spotted at the Dior show in a classic LBD, while Anna Mouglalis was at the Chanel show.

Celebrity Style of the Week: Denise Ho

See what makes Denise Ho tick.

Denise Ho (何韻詩) moved around as a child, growing up in Hong Kong and Canada.  After winning a singing award, she became apprentice to Anita Mui.

In 2001, she came out with her debut EP,First. In 2002, Angelic Blue, a song Denise composed and sung with Ying Foo topped charts. This song, together with “Goodbye…Rosemary” garnered her the “Best Vocal Performance By A Female Artist” and “Female Singer Bronze Award”. In 2006, Denise successfully had her first Hong Kong Coliseum concert called “Live in Unity 2006″.

Over the years, Denise has captured the hearts of everyone, while transitioning between raw rock and glam. Many admire her open and honest disposition on life. The one thing she’s mums about though is her sexual orientation. She’s been spotted with showbiz friends  Joey Yung, Eason Chan and Sammi Cheng.

Denise is your ultimate rock and roll chameleon. She shows up in androgynous outfits, but manages to surprise everyone when she goes for very feminine, costume-like creations. It is no wonder then, that she adores Dior and John Galliano.

Eyedonist Spring/Summer 2009

Eyedonist presents the latest trends for the summer.

Eyedonist launched its new flagship store in Causeway Bay with a preview of the latest Summer eye wear trends. Brands that were featured included Gucci, Dior, Yves Saint Laurent and Marc Jacobs.

Nelson Cheung, Kathy Chow, Jacquelin Ch’ng and Ana R. were some of the personalities who modeled the various eye wear. The piece-de-resistance was an art piece made out of 36 pairs of eyeglasses Jacquelin Ch’ng wore on her body.
