The Dior phone is out and its every bit as sexy and expensive as you’d expect.

We reported about this a few months back, but its now here – The Dior Phone – and available in Hong Kong with the “standard” model setting you back around HK$40,000.
This phone is so stylish and status-symbol setting that Dior didn’t even need to tell us what specs it has because really, its not about the phone but how amazing it looks. We do know that Modelabs design and produced it and that it comes with a bluetooth-connected mini version of itself.

New Dior bag aims to stun, and it does.

Simply put, the Dior Karenina bag looks amazing. From John Galliano‘s fall collection, the Karenina comes in a range of material, from aged leather to crocodile skin in petrol blue, cream and black, fox fur in grey and blonde.
We think the white crocodile skin inspired by Leo Tolstoy’s “Anna Karenina” is very aristoractic and lah-dee-dah indeed.
Seems like a hot favourite with lots of bloggers as they are talking about it here, here and here.

The luxury phone market gets a Christian Dior makeover.

Christian Dior introduces it’s entry into the mobile phone world, alongside Prada and others, with their own luxury phone. At US$5,000 for the “basic model” and US$26,000 for the “Lady Dior” model, you can tell that luxury brand name’s like “Dior” are so powerful in the age of consumerism! And of course, Dior is targeting these phones at China. No news yet on their Hong Kong debut.

The LA Times picks the best shopping outlets in Hong Kong.

It’s always neat to read other cities reviews of Hong Kong. The LA Times tells us where the A-List tourist traps – ahem – people shop in Hong Kong:
Nearly a decade has elapsed since the British handover of Hong Kong to China. The territory, an East-West trading center since the mid-19th century, prospered during Britain’s 156-year rule. There was apprehension it would regress when the Chinese took over.
