Here’s a sneak peak at what Gucci’s got line-up next year, Spring 09.
Exotica is Gucci designer Frida Giannini’s theme for the Spring 2009 collection. Suits are sharp and tailored in white and bolder colors. Tropical graphic prints find their way on sexy chiffon dresses and floaty long gowns are crafted from silk jersey in turquoise, emerald and purple.
Wear them with large semi precious stone jewellery, gold bracelet or just a Gucci watch for best effects.

70th Anniversary launches new Gucci Cruise 2009 collection.
Following up from our post last week, Gucci Hong Kong has sent us more information about the brand’s 70th anniversary bash, images of its renovated Roma Via Condotti store and its presentation of the Gucci Cruise 2009 collection at the beautiful grounds of Villa Aurelia in Rome, Italy. Those handbags you see at the top, are exclusive to the event and the Rome store.
The collection was partly inspired by the glamorous jet-set crew who often made Rome their playground throughout the 1970s. The Cruise 2009 collection will be available in stores world-wide from November 2008.

Right now you can download a bunch of videos featuring Fall 2008 runways from all the big fashion brands like Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Givenchy, Dior, Versace and so much more from Paris and Milan. These may have been released earlier this year but this a good start to add to your vidcast collection. You can subscribe to this feed and it will automatically update you with the newest episodes when you sync your iPhone with iTunes.
New cruise wear line shows off Gucci’s love for the 70’s.
Gucci unleashed a new flair for the power of the flower at their recent showing in Rome, where they are also celebrating 70 years of Gucci in Italy.
Gucci is one of a growing line of fashion houses showing off a “cruise wear” or pre-spring collection in addition to summer and winter wear, eyeing the line as an important niche to keep customer interest in a global economic downturn.

Creative director Frida Gianni has taken the classic Gucci style and updated it for today’s busy travelers using resistant, high-tech resin in a collection that includes sleek semi-hard case trolleys, garment bags and briefcases.
