Louis Vuitton’s second collaboration with Takashi Murakami.

Good news for those who adored Takashi Murakami‘s first collaboration with Louis Vuitton. The Japanese designer is back for a second installment with the leather goods brand to produce the Cosmic Blossom Collection featuring Murakami’s recognizable artwork of flowers and doodles in fun and vibrant rose, bleu and violet. For this collection, Louis Vuitton also developed a silkscreen-printed vinyl canvas, perfect for the beach.

“Classic with a twist” are the words that come to mind when we set our sights on the Louis Vuitton’s Monogram Eden bags. The familiar monogram LV print is still present but the difference lies in the overlay of metallic monogram stripes to give the bag a hypnotizing trompe-l’oeil effect.

Louis Vuitton‘s Raindrop Besace is a waterproof draw-string bag that to us looks a lot like a designer trash bag with its detachable leather shoulder strap and goldtone hardware. It comes in gray and brown with the LV logo printed on the front.
We’re calling it the Louis Vuitton’s “I Am Not a Garbage Bag”. We are unable to conclude if Marc Jacobs is making a social statement, a joke or its just his interpretation of what a designer trash bag would look like.

Finally, an LV Monogram bag to cater for the free-spirited.

Louis Vuitton’s newest bag, the Artsy, should appeal to those of you who are looking for a monogrammed bag that’s a lot less stiff. The Artsy seems to be the most relaxed out of the monogrammed bunch with its simple hobo-style design. There are similarities in the Artsy with YSL’s Roady bag but without the ruffle details on the side. What really makes it special though is the handcrafted leather handle with intricate braiding giving the bag a much more youthful vibe.
