The stars were out for 2011’s Venice Film Festival and they brought some gorgeous designer gowns with them! Here’s our round-up of our favourite looks from the festival.

Madonna moves over to Dolce & Gabbana.
Fresh from her stint with Louis Vuitton, the ultimate Material Girl Madonna has bagged yet another endorsement. This time, she will work for her friends of over 18 years, Dolce & Gabbana who have always been interested in working with Madonna have only now taken the plunge.
Set in a New York convent and shot in black and white by Steven Klein, Madonna appears like a sensual Italian housewife straight from the 1950s. The ad features Madonna in various mundane shots, in the kitchen, eating breakfast and cleaning the dishes.
A very down to earth take that is a big departure from Dolce & Gabbana’s normally flashy and glossy ad campaigns.
The material girl is causing a commotion in Balmain.
Hot designer of the moment, Balmain is enjoying the spotlight with a bevy of superstars donning this label. Madonna killed it when she work his exaggerated shoulder dress sparkling with crystal pieces for her new music video – Celebration. Now we wonder which local celebrity, starlet will strike a similar pose in our local mags.

Louis Vuitton seemed set to show something new and interesting for their latest line of bags, especially when Madonna is fronting their ad campaign.
The LV Kalahari veers away from the usual look of LV’s famed monogram collection. It has a rounder, softer saddle bag shape with lots of space to stuff everything in. The Kalahari maintains some traditional Vuitton aspects, like the monogram print, and the cowhide handles but this is offset by unusual offbeat details, like the mix bead drawstring, used to secure the bag.

Madonna’s back-up dancers look slick in Brooks Brothers.
This is just a piece of fashion trivia that Madonna fans would appreciate. For her “Sticky and Sweet” Tour at the O2 arena in London, Madonna’s back-up dancers donned Brooks Brothers tuxedo shirts. Needless to say, they looked dashing in them.
Never thought Brooks Brother will be part of Madonna’s back-up dancers now did you? You can get the full sleeve versions at the Hong Kong stores. Costume designer Arianne Phillips especially requested these shirts, and customized them or rather just cut off the sleeves for the tour.
A bunny eared Madonna?
Madonna’s bunny ear images from Louis Vuitton’s fall campaign is all over the internet. We’re not sure what the bunny ears are in reference to or Madonna‘s expression, but we love the dress!
