Whereas Marc Jacobs had a more demure space-age motif going on with silver accented pointed mules at Louis Vuitton. City chic was what Tomas Maier had in mind for Bottega Vaneta and flat strappy sandals felt just right with the aquatic theme at Chanel.

If there’s one thing Bulgari knows, it’s Italian fine jewellery. Presenting their new Monete jewellery collection, Bulgari revisits the motif of ancient coins and jewels, referred to by the Italian brand as “objets d’art”. In a 1982 interview, Nicola Bulgari explains “to these ancient coins, relics of the past, we offer a second chance at life: rather than closing them in a drawer, we transform them into living things”, exemplified by this very collection.
